A 3-wheeled adventure driving a rickshaw over 2500km across India for SEWA UK

SOUNDS EPIC! BUT WHAT IS IT?
In December 2023, I embarked on an adventure of a lifetime on India's greatest 3 wheeled wonder to raise as much as I could for an amazing cause. I travelled from Chitrakoot to Kutch, covering over 2500 km in 12 days with 108 fellow participants.

ABOUT THE PROJECT:
The Sewa UK Rickshaw Run 2023 supported the refurbishment of a dental unit at Arogyadham in Chitrakoot, Madhya Pradesh, India. Over 35,000 children are born with a cleft defect annually in India. Over half of those are either unable to afford treatments or are completely unaware that this can be treated at all. The operations that take place are life changing for the children and allow them to integrate into normal society without any associated stigma.

The facility we are fundraised for will provide FREE or very affordable cleft and palate surgery to support 500 surrounding villages. The building will have 6 dental surgeries on the 1st floor. On the ground floor, it will have 1 dental surgery, 1 operation theatre and 1 dental lab including waiting areas, offices and washroom facilities.

HOW DID WE DO?
We absolutely smashed our target and raised over £650,000! I’ve seen first hand how much impact this will make and how many people we will be helping.
